Professional articles for the Zeitschrift für Psychotraumatologie und Psychologische Medizin (ZPPM) [Journal of Psychotraumatology and Psychological Medicine]

The Asanger Verlag’s Zeitschrift für Psychotraumatologie und Psychologische Medizin (ZPPM) [Journal of Psychotraumatology and Psychological Medicine] has the aim of bringing together discoveries about psychotraumatology from a range of different disciplines and areas of practice, which can be collectively termed as disciplines in a new field of ‘psychological medicine.’ It aims to generate broad interdisciplinary dialogue.

The professional journal was founded in 2003 by Gerd Wenninger and Gottfried Fischer. Since that time, Kurt and Reiner Mosetter have been actively involved in its development, both as authors and as members of the Scientific Advisory Board.

The following is an overview of articles we have published in recent years in the ZPPM:

  • Volume 2/2005 includes an article on the uses of Myoreflex Therapy as “Neuromuscular Trauma Therapy.”
  • Volume 3/2006 contains our article, "The body in its environment – a dialectical unit.”
  • Volume 1/2008 explores in depth the subject "Traumatic Stress: the body as a stage and scenic force.”
  • Our article in Volume 2/2008 inquires about the "Biosemiotics of interrupted communicative actions – towards a psychosomatics based on psychotraumatology.”
  • The article "Perspectives in Human Biology" in Volume 4/2008 takes as its point of departure the notion of the “body-in-situation” and describes pain in the locomotor system and catatonic movement disorders from a specifically Myoreflex perspective.
  • Volume 2/2009 includes the article, "Alzheimer’s Disease – a multi-dimensional process.”
  • Volume 3/2009 contains a study about Myoreflex Therapy by Katharina Muth und Robert Bering: "Trauma and Pain: Evaluation of Myoreflex Therapy in the context of multi-dimensional psychodynamic trauma therapy.”
  • Our article in Volume 4/2010 explores the subject, "Stress, Diet and Diseases of Aging."
  • In Volume 2/2012 the article "Trauma und Body Changes" describes a specific cognitive-sensorimotor model that can help us to better understand patients with chronic pain and trauma.
